Hardcore Computer Wins Best Data Center Innovation BladeSystems Insight Award for Liquid Submerged Server (LSS™ 200)
Rochester, MN (May 13, 2010) Hardcore Computer, Inc., the industry’s most innovative computer design and manufacturing company, was honored with BladeSystems Insight Summit Customer Choice Award for Innovation, “Best Data Center Innovation” for their LSS 200, the first Total Liquid Submersion blade server during BladeSystems Insight Summit 2010.
BladeSystems Insight is a national executive summit focused on blade, virtualization and other technologies transforming the data center. LSS 200 was chosen as the Best Data Center Innovation by event attendees comprising 70 senior IT and data center executives from mid-sized and large corporations.
The LSS 200 was designed to address datacenters’ major challenges: power, cooling and space. Hardcore Computer’s patented technology submerges all of the heat-producing components of the LSS 200 eliminating heat, which is the greatest barrier of performance and reliability in electronics.
"BladeSystems Insight attendees were impressed by our liquid submersion cooling technology and its benefit to the datacenter, said Chad Attlesey, CTO and BladeSystems Insight Summit 2010 panelist. “LSS 200 offers 60% or more reduction in cooling cost compared to traditional air-cooling or air-conditioning-cooling, and our Core Coolant® is 1350 times better than air, by volume. This minimizes the need for air conditioning and air handling equipment inside the datacenter.”
"Having attended the BladeSystems Insight event, I myself voted for LSS 200 to win this award" said Jonathan Eunice, Principal IT Advisor at Illuminata, Inc. "Virtually every new product is touted as some sort of 'breakthrough'. Most are, in fact, merely incremental advances. In contrast, Hardcore's Total Liquid Submersion is truly different. I'm a fan."
2010 marked the fourth annual BladeSystems Insight Summit, produced by CrossTech Forums and sponsored in part by the Blade Systems Alliance industry association. Over 70 attendees - invited CIOs, VPs and Directors of Information Technology - participated in the conference and took part in the voting on six awards at the end two and a half days. Awards looked at best green solutions, innovation, best case study presentation and best all around sponsor. BladeSystems Insight Summit general manager Bill Sell announced the awards at the Orlando, FL conference on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
"Innovation is the backbone of the blade and data center marketplace, and is an important part of our annual conference,” said Bill Sell, Vice President & General Manager CrossTech Media, LLC. “Each year one company stands apart from the rest in innovation, and this year we are pleased to announce that Hardcore Computer wins the BladeSystems Insight Summit Customer Choice Award for Innovation."
LSS 200 is currently available to approved early ship customers only. Positional orders are currently being accepted. To find out more visit us on the web at www.hardcorecomputer.com or email sales@hardcorecomputer.com
