Hardcore Computer Joins Super Micro at ISC 2011 with Liquid Submerged Server (LSS™ 200) on Display
Hamburg, Germany (June 20, 2011) – Hardcore Computer, Inc., the industry’s most innovative computer design and manufacturing company, will join Super Micro Computer at the 2011 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) in Hamburg, Germany today where it will showcase its revolutionary Liquid Submerged Server (LSS™ 200). Chad Attlesey, President, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Hardcore Computer, will be on hand to demonstrate LSS 200 and answer media questions.
LSS 200 was first introduced as a proof of concept in April 2010 where it received the prestigious “Best Datacenter Innovation” award at the Blade Insights Summit in Orlando, FL. LSS 200 represents a breakthrough technological achievement delivering a systematic approach to solving many of the most complex and costly challenges plaguing datacenters today – escalating utility costs, the high cost of operating and maintaining sophisticated cooling and environmental control systems and the ever-increasing demand for floor space.
LSS 200 employs Hardcore Computer’s patented total liquid submersion cooling technology and is the first and only product of its kind in the industry. According to an independent study, LSS 200 can deliver up to an 80% reduction in data center cooling costs and reduces construction and on-going operating costs by up to 25%. LSS 200 is designed to operate in almost any environment and doesn’t require costly, sophisticated environmental control systems.
LSS 200 supports today’s highest performing video cards making it the ideal choice for datacenters requiring computational power and advanced video rendering capabilities, such as medical imaging, digital content render farms, computer-aided design, engineering simulation and modeling and distributed network gaming. LSS 200 offers a wide menu of integrated high-speed communication options- from 1 and 10 Gb/s Ethernet to InfiniBand® with speeds up to 40 Gb/s.
“Hardcore Computer’s LSS 200 total submersion technology is the future of high-performance computing and general datacenter cooling. It is an elegant, extremely energy efficient solution that allows for peak system performance, said Attlesey. “Our patented liquid submersion cooling also allows our Detonator workstations to deliver dual 4.8GHz Intel Westmere CPUs on a custom platform engineered for speed and reliability.”
Journalists interested in speaking with Chad Attlesey and seeing the Liquid Submerged Server (LSS™ 200) will find him in the Super Micro booth #510 during ISC 2011.
