IT Manager


Hardcore Computer, Inc. develops and manufactures industry-leading, high-end desktop PC computers, workstations and servers. Our initial target markets include: medical imaging, CAD workstation, industrial, video production, university/research, and military/aerospace. These computers make use of proprietary cooling technology as well as many other innovations. The Manager of  IT/Web Development will be responsible for all aspects of Information Technology and Web Development, including strategic planning, training, infrastructure and policy for information technology. A large component of the role will be building a culture of technical and process innovation surrounding all critical IT-related functions, ensuring that effective communications and change management processes are in place to support technology programs and processes, and determining and developing the company’s overall strategy for systems development and hardware acquisition and integration.

The Manager should be comfortable performing hands-on level tasks (e.g., installing new software on servers or imaging a new laptop). We plan for the IT staff to grow significantly as we enter the market with our products. In the meantime, the ideal candidate should be willing to wear many hats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT department leadership, vision and management.
  • Ensure the IT needs of all staff and customers are being met.
  • Oversee the integration of critical software systems like Order Motion, Quick Books, and Right Now Technologies.
  • Develop both short-term and long-term IT strategic roadmaps and quality assurance plans.
  • Help to select, install and manage ERP, CRM and other software systems.
  • Ensure that technology and tools are relevant, support revenue generation initiatives, are scalable and are robust.
  • Develop, maintain and test an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of technology services in the event of a disaster.
  • Manage all IT support contracts.
  • Prepare and manage the annual IT plan and related budget.



Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a management role is preferred.
  • Experience in planning, developing and implementing IT goals in a complex, changing organization.   
  • Proven ability to work with and provide leadership for senior management, engineering and customer support.
  • Experience with both tactical and strategic IT planning.
  • Knowledge of IT legal and security issues, business continuity and IT policy development is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation and listening) and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and executive management.
  • Proven ability to remain current in emerging IT trends.
  • Demonstrated ability and deep understanding of complex LAN/WAN data; VOIP experience is a plus.


Education

Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited institution in the field of Information Systems/Technology or Computer Science
